They Said What?!
Emma Watson is, obviously, known most famously for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movie franchise, opposite actors Daniel Radcliffe playing Harry Potter, and Rupert Grint playing Ronald Weasley. It is a wide known fact that, because the trio have grown up together, spending upwards of the past 12 years around each other, Emma, Dan, and Rupert have become the best of friends, if not more – “I consider them my brothers!” (E.W.). Naturally, kissing both of the gentlemen brought on some obscure thoughts, and because the entire fan population surrounding the Harry Potter movies were on the edge of their seats to see both snogs (in both Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2 movies), let’s find out what the actors thought themselves… 🙂
“Daniel Radcliffe was expecting a tender embrace when it came time to kiss co-star Emma Watson in the new “Harry Potter” film. What he got was torrid necking, Watson working magic with her lips “like an animal,” he said.
“I thought it was going to be like a soft, sensual sort of moment, and it was this very vigorous kissing scene,” said Radcliffe, reprising the title role in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1,” the second-to-last of the big-screen adventures about the teen wizard.
“She really went for it, I have to say. It caught me slightly off guard, but yeah, I’m not complaining. Many men would lose a limb to be in that position, so I was absolutely fine with it,” Radcliffe said in an interview.” – Taken from The Huffington Post
“The big kiss between Ron and Hermione is handled with a deft touch in The Deathly Hallows, something made all the more impressive because of the reluctance of the two stars involved. “I’ve known Emma so long, we were dreading this scene,” Rupert Grint said. “We wanted people to think that we actually wanted to kiss each other, because in reality we really didn’t. It’s a nice moment, hopefully people believe it.” Does Grint remember anything specific about the kiss? “I find it hard to recall anything about it, I think it has been erased from my mind.'” – Taken from Movieline.com
Good to know they can act so well! I leave you with the Associated Press’s video on Emma’s goodbye to Harry Potter, including how much she misses working with Dan and Rupert everyday.
