We Think Emma’s Ex is an Idiot

•October 26, 2011 • Leave a Comment

One of the admins came upon the following article regarding Emma’s ex love-interest, Francis Boulle.  Find the article HERE or read below:

~~~
“Emma Watson is smart, talented, gorgeous and somehow able to pull off a pixie cut that would make the rest of us look like we just broke up a fight between Freddy Krueger and Edward Scissorhands. Seriously, what’s not to like about our favourite Harry Potter heroine?
According to one fella who dated our girl crush, being with Watson wasn’t all it’s cracked up to be. (Sounds like someone was hit by a Confundus Charm!)
Watson’s ex-flame, Francis Boulle, says he dumped the starlet because he didn’t ‘want to be the boyfriend of some child actress.’ (Hmm, can you say jealous?)
The 22-year-old was first spotted with the Harry Potter actress back in 2008 at a Cartier polo party, reports the Daily Mail. ‘We had a bit of a thing a while back,’ Boulle told Heat magazine in a new interview. ‘But I have always been an ambitious person and I want to achieve my own notoriety for what I’ve done.’
‘That’s why I chose not to pursue it any longer, because I didn’t want to be the boyfriend of some child actress.’
Watson and her ill-fated ex may not be the best of friends now, but Boulle still says that ‘she’s a really cool person. She’s a very different person to who she is in the media. That’s what I liked about her – she’s very interesting.’
It doesn’t look like Watson is too heartbroken over the breakup, however. She is currently working her magic on her Perks of Being a Wallflower co-star, Johnny Simmons. The pair has been photographed smooching in L.A.
Watson recently told Hello! Magazine that she’s still a big believer in love. ‘I’ve always been a hopeless romantic. I think, ‘Why not?’ It’s nice. I think there’s a perception that perhaps my generation doesn’t believe in romance so much,’ she said. ‘We do still believe in romance, seduction and gallantry, but that courtship and the game is played in a different way.’
Watson said that growing up has helped her become more realistic in the ways of love. ‘I think as I’m growing up, my definition of love is becoming a lot broader,’ Emma told Hello!
‘It’s definitely become more broadened and encompassing than when I was 10 years old and I thought there was one Prince Charming.’
Maybe its a good thing Boulle is no longer with Emma – he seems like an imbecile to us!  Best of luck to future endeavours, Emma!
Emma Does the “Boogie” on “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” Set
•October 24, 2011 • Leave a Comment
We’ve stumbled upon a great news story from MTV News with Emma and co-star Ezra Miller dancing a jig on the set of  “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”.  Find the clip and article below:
“The post-“Harry Potter” education of Emma Watson began, in a way, at Brown University. Searching for her first film after completing the boy-wizard franchise, the Ivy League actress found some unlikely career advisors in the form of her fellow college students, who told her that she simply had to sign up for “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” an adaptation of Stephen Chbosky’s seminal novel.
“Honestly, I had never read the book before, but a lot of my friends at Brown were hugely into it, and when I told them I had this script, they were crazy excited,” Watson told MTV News.
And just that like, through the pop-culture schooling of her peers, she’d found a flick to carry her away from Hogwarts and toward a Hollywood second act. It’s fitting, then, that with “Perks” on her résumé, we’ve selected Watson as a member of MTV News’ New Class — actors and actresses about to graduate toward greatness. The 21-year-old finds herself in good company on the movie, whose cast contains so many soon-to-break-big talents that we selected a bunch of her co-stars as her New Class cohorts.
We’ve dubbed Watson “Most Likely to Win an Oscar.” Nina Dobrev (“The Vampire Diaries”) is our Next Style Icon. Logan Lerman (“Percy Jackson & the Olympians” and the upcoming “Three Musketeers”) is Most Likely to Make You Swoon, and Ezra Miller (Sundance eye-opener “Another Happy Day” and Cannes selectee “We Need to Talk About Kevin”) is Most Likely to Win an Independent Spirit Award. Together they’re bringing a beloved teen novel to the screen. And when we visited the film’s Pittsburgh set earlier this year, all four of them were well aware of the expectations surrounding the project and professed themselves lucky to be involved.
“I feel incredible about it. I feel like I’ve been waiting for ‘Perks,’ ” Watson said. “I was waiting for this story, for this script, for this moment, for these people to do it with me. I’m so glad I didn’t do anything that I didn’t care about.”
Watson plays Sam, a high school senior who, along with Miller’s Patrick, introduces Lerman’s freshman Charlie to a world of sex, drugs and awkward adolescence. “I definitely tapped into some awkward childhood memories for this movie,” Lerman explained. “It’s been a year and a half since I first signed on to the project, so to be out here making it is a pretty big deal for me. It’s cool to be working with this great cast of young actors.”
Dobrev, on a break from “Vampire Diaries,” echoed those sentiments. “Every hiatus, my goal is to try something different, and this is a small part in a great, fun indie that has a great script,” she said of playing Charlie’s sister. “It’s been fun to meet such great new people. Everyone really gets along and is really friendly and fun.”
Their subject matter, it should be said, is not all fun or funny. When when we showed up on set the stars were filming a raucous school-dance sequence set to “Come on Eileen,” but “Perks” takes on potentially controversial material about suicide, drug use and sexuality. These may be divisive topics to some, but ask any teen and he or she will say it’s all part of their world.
“I don’t think there will be one teenager who will watch this and not have one story or one moment that they don’t deeply feel they can relate to,” Watson said.”
Take it away, Emma!
Emma Watson Defines “Sexy”
•October 21, 2011 • 1 Comment
The following quote was found today by one of our admins, and felt it was more than necessary to put into a post for its pure inspiration, and to show how much respect we have for Emma Watson.  In the quote, Emma defines what she thinks is considered “sexy”, and how she doesn’t feel the need to fit into the norm or strut around with barely any clothing.  Find the quote below:
“I find the whole concept of being ‘sexy’ embarrassing and confusing. If I do an
interview with photographs people desperately want to change me – dye my hair
blonder, pluck my eyebrows, give me a fringe. Then there’s the choice of clothes.
I know everyone wants a picture of me in a mini-skirt. But that’s not me. I feel
uncomfortable. I’d never go out in a mini-skirt. It’s nothing to do with protecting
the Hermione image. I wouldn’t do that. Personally, I don’t actually think it’s
even that sexy. What’s sexy about saying, ‘I’m here with my boobs out and a
short skirt, have a look at everything I’ve got?’  My idea of sexy is that less is
more. The less you reveal the more people can wonder.”  – Emma Watson
Thanks Emma, for restoring our faith.   Being elegant will always be “sexy” to us.
Emma Stars in “My Week with Marilyn”
•September 19, 2011 • Leave a Comment
First off, let us apologize for the lack of updates and postings within the last week.  We’ve been lax in our duties, and it has not gone un-noticed.  Thank you for your patience in the matter, and thank you for your continued following!
~~~~~

Today we bring you lots of information and newly released photos of Emma staring in “My Week with Marilyn”, an upcoming British drama film directed by Simon Curtis and written by Adrian Hodges. It stars Michelle Williams, Kenneth Branagh, Eddie Redmayne, Dominic Cooper, and Judi Dench alongside Emma. Based on two books by Colin Clark, it depicts the making of the 1957 film The Prince and the Showgirl, which starred Marilyn Monroe and Laurence Olivier. The film focuses on the week in which Monroe spent time being escorted around Britain by Clark, after her husband, Arthur Miller, left the country.

In the summer of 1956, Colin Clark works as an assistant on the British set of The Prince and the Showgirl, which stars Laurence Olivier and Marilyn Monroe, who is also on honeymoon with her new husband, playwright Arthur Miller. When Miller leaves the country, Clark introduces Monroe to British life and they spend a week together, during which time she escapes from her Hollywood routine and the pressures of work.  Emma had been cast in the small role of wardrobe assistant, Lucy.

Development

My Week with Marilyn is based on Colin Clark’s The Prince, The Showgirl and Me and My Week with Marilyn; two diary accounts, which explore his time on the set of The Prince and the Showgirl and the time he spent with Monroe. The screenplay has been adapted and written by Adrian Hodges. The film is directed by Simon Curtis and it is his first feature debut. David Parfitt will produce the film, which is being financed by The Weinstein Company and BBC Films.

Casting

In August 2009, Scarlett Johansson became the frontrunner to play Marilyn Monroe in the film. Kate Hudson, Amy Adams and Michelle Williams were also named as potential candidates for Monroe. Three months later, it was revealed that Williams was in talks for the role. Williams was the only actress that producers met with during casting, despite other actresses being considered for the role.  More than forty actors auditioned for the role of Clark, among them was James Jagger, who began talks with producers in May 2010. In September, it was announced that Eddie Redmayne had been cast as Clark. Parfitt told the Daily Mail that finding an actor for the role had been difficult. He said “It’s a devilishly tricky part to find the right person for because Colin went to Eton, studied at Oxford and flew for the RAF.” That same month, it was also announced that Emma had been cast in the small role of wardrobe assistant, Lucy. Emma was scheduled to spend only a few days on set shooting her scenes to prevent her studies at Brown University being interrupted. Kenneth Branagh began talks with producers for the role of Laurence Olivier in July 2010 after Ralph Fiennes had to pull out to direct his adaptation of Coriolanus. Branagh was later cast in the role.

Dominic Cooper was given the role of Milton H. Greene, a photographer and Monroe’s business partner. Of Greene, Cooper said “He was quite an old man, but they had a very close relationship. I think Marilyn felt very supported by him in the beginning. But ultimately he became her agent and business partner, which is rather a lot.” Cooper filmed his scenes in between his work on Captain America: The First Avenger. Catherine Zeta-Jones was approached by executives at The Weinstein Company to appear in the film as the actress Vivian Leigh. Zeta-Jones turned down the role as she did not want to spend a week or more away from her husband, Michael Douglas, who was being treated for throat cancer. Curtis and the producers began auditioning other actresses and they later cast Julia Ormond in the role. Ormond’s casting was announced at the same time as Dougray Scott’s, who will portray Arthur Miller. Derek Jacobi was cast as Sir Owen Morshead, the royal librarian at Windsor Castle, Philip Jackson will play Marilyn’s private detective and Judi Dench will play Sybil Thorndike.  Zoe Wanamaker will be Paula Strasburg, the actress’ acting consultant and Richard Clifford was cast as Richard Wattis, the actor who played a courtier in The Prince and the Showgirl. The film also stars Toby Jones, Geraldine Somerville and Simon Russell Beale. It was announced on 8 October 2010, that casting on the film had been completed.

Filming

Judi Dench filmed her scenes in September 2010 as she had to go to India to begin work on another project. Principal photography on began at the Pinewood Studios  on 4 October 2010. On 7 October, White Waltham Airfield was turned into a 1950s London Heathrow Airport, to recreate the moment when Monroe arrives in Britain for filming. British Cinematographer reported the production shot at Saltwood Castle, where Clark had grown up. Filming also took place on locations in and around London. These included a house near Windsor, which Monroe and Miller lived in during their stay in England. Curtis used the same studio in which Monroe shot The Prince and the Showgirl in 1956 and Williams was given the dressing room Monroe had used at the time of the shoot. The shoot lasted for seven weeks and was completed in late November 2010.

Release

The trailer for the film was introduced by Harvey Weinstein during the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. My Week with Marilyn will have its world premiere at the 2011 New York Film Festival on 9 October, before being released on 4 November 2011 in the United States. The film will be released on 18 November 2011 in the United Kingdom.

Good luck, Emma! ♥
